Have you ever wanted to live like James Bond? Thanks to The Distillery Presents, a part of The Distillery on Portobello Road in London, you now have the chance. The Distillery has cooked up an immersive dining experience themed after the iconic books and movies by Ian Fleming, and it doesn’t disappoint. Throughout the course of the evening, you’ll dine on some of Bond’s favorite foods, and you’ll try some of his favorite cocktails. Of course, you can expect a martini served just how Bond likes it- shaken, not stirred.

I don’t want to spoil the surprise for anyone planning to attend the James Bond dinner, so I won’t be telling you exactly what we ate and drank. I can tell you that the evening is exquisitely themed, and the attention to detail is remarkable. Each of the five courses is paired with a matching cocktail, so you can expect to enjoy a variety of flavors. If you do go, feel free to dress up in your best Bond-inspired attire! I went for a Bond Girl vibe in a black jumpsuit, and lots of the men were wearing suits and tuxedos! The whole evening is very fun, and I highly recommend it to anyone who has enjoyed the James Bond books or movies.
I grew up watching the James Bond movies with my grandfather and father, so I was really intrigued when I read about this dining experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening from start to finish. I wouldn’t call myself a superfan by any means, but I loved learning about all the food and drink that Bond consumed onscreen during the movie, and I thought it was so fun to try The Distillery’s interpretation of his favorite dishes! The dining room’s ambiance is intimate and glamorous, complete with songs from the James Bond movies playing throughout the night. The Distillery also offers gin-blending classes where you can create your own personal gin, so I hope to go back soon and try another one of their experiences.
Tickets for the James Bond dining experience cost 90 GBP per person, and the dinner is available on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM. You can buy tickets on the website.
