Bustronome Paris- A 6-Course Gourmet Bus Ride Through the City of Lights!

Bustronome Paris Review

When I was studying in Paris during my junior year of college, my mom visited me for a fun week of shopping, touring, and eating (and Disneyland Paris, which you can read all about in this post). We wanted to try a unique tour experience while she was in town, so we looked into several options, but one really caught our eye: Bustronome, an upscale tour that offered a 6-course meal served while riding on a double-decker bus past some of the most iconic monuments in Paris. I enjoyed the experience so much that I wanted to do a Bustronome Paris review for you all! I recommended the tour to some family friends who were visiting Paris, and they really liked it, too!

Bustronome Paris Details

The Bustronome Paris experience is pricey (dinner is 100 euros per person or 130 including wine), but it was one of the highlights of our trip. The lunch tour is a great alternative if you don’t want to spend so much money! The lunch tour is shorter and has fewer courses, but you still get to enjoy the luxurious tour through Paris (and it costs a lot less)!  On the dinner tour, you depart from the Arc de Trimophe and ride across the heart of the city before ending your tour (and your dinner) in front of the Eiffel Tower just minutes before it sparkles on the hour. The panoramic windows offer wonderful views of the sights, like the Opera Garnier, Notre Dame, and Les Invalides. Here’s a map of their current routes – the dotted line is for lunch, and the white line is the longer dinner route.

Bustronome Paris Food

The food and wine were delicious. The menu changes every season, but for reference, here is the fall 2016 menu. The food, while fantastic, may be a bit too adventurous for picky eaters (with foods like smoked trout on my trip), so reference their site ahead of time to see if the menu suits your tastes. The presentation of the food was perfect, and you the chefs really incorporated local, seasonal ingredients into the dishes so you could get a good taste of classic Parisian cuisine. And don’t worry, the tables are especially set with special holders to make sure your food and wine doesn’t go flying every time the bus makes a turn!

Bustronome Paris Review: Conclusion

The Bustronome dinner tour is one of my favorite memories from my time in Paris, and I recommend checking it out if it’s within your budget! It’s pricey, but I thought the high-quality food and interesting experience was worth it. The bus is beautiful, and the large windows give you a great view of the city. My mom and I really enjoyed the experience, and we still talk about it fondly years later. (Note: because the seating is on the second floor of the bus and you have to go up a small flight of stairs, this is not an accessible attraction). It’s an amazing way to see the city while enjoying wonderful Parisian food and wine.

I hope you enjoyed my Bustronome Paris review! If you’re interested in making a booking, or if you want to check out the latest menu, check the official website out! I paid for this tour myself, so all options are my own. I saw that this company recently started a tour in London, so I would love to try that and see if it lives up to Bustronome Paris!
